Guy Robert Brown

Guy Robert Brown, of Lennox, South Dakota died unexpectedly the morning of June 10, 2026 at the age of 49. Please join Guy’s family for a visitation from 5:00-7:00 pm, Friday, June 19, 2026 at Jarman Family Funeral Home. Memorial Service will take place the following day Saturday, June 20 at 11:00 am also at the funeral home with a more informal Celebration of Life at the Legion Hall in Lennox at 7:00 pm Saturday, June 20. Guy was born in Sioux Falls on June 20, 1976 to Ann (Havelaar) Brown. He was raised by his mother in Lennox, where he graduated high school before enlisting in the Marine Corps and heading to San Diego for basic training. Continuing education and his work in telecommunications engineering took him to Lincoln, NE and Colorado Springs, CO. He ultimately settled back in Lennox, where he met Jamie Erickson and the two were married in Jamaica on December 12, 2011. Besides a few years in Wisconsin, Guy and Jamie have raised their two girls in Lennox, where he has dedicated his life to being an amazing dad. Guy has always had a strong work ethic, putting himself through school while working nights at HyVee, then working for various companies as an engineer, including Gateway, HSBC, Midco and most recently QBE. A huge Cornhuskers fan, Guy was excited to attend his first few Nebraska games in recent years. He loved to travel, including trips to Germany and the Netherlands, and vacations with family and friends to Arkansas and Missouri. Guy’s experience as a bar tender made him a wonderful host. He was in his element when he had a group of people over enjoying a delicious meal he prepared for them. Guy centered his life around his daughters, putting everything into making sure they succeeded in all they did. He will continue to live on in their success stories each day. Guy is survived by his wife, Jamie Brown and daughters Mackenzie and Evelyn Brown of Lennox; mother, Ann Brown of Lennox; sister Chanda (Jerod) Rozeboom and her children Madelyn (Nick) Hendel, Camdyn (Carter) Kracht, Carson, Emersyn, and Creighton Rozeboom all of Edgerton, MN; and half-sister, Ronda Jo Morgan; close friends David Sletten, Jim Dodson, Mark Limmer and Ray Schut; as well as many other friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by family friend Jay Drager.
