Paul Ollerich, 59, of Montose, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at the Avera Dougherty Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls, following a courageous battle with cancer.Paul Ollerich, 59, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at the Avera Dougherty Hospice Cottage, Sioux Falls, South Dakota following a courageous two year battle with cancer. Paul was born on April 17, 1952 at Sioux Falls, SD the son of Paul Myron and Wyonna "Pat" (Wiepking) Ollerich. He grew up and attended school in the Lennox and Tea area until moving to Sioux Falls while in the 4th grade. At age 15 he moved with his family to Simi Valley, CA where he graduated from high school. He was married to Jeannine Parkin and the couple had two daughters. He later married Kathleen Moulton and three daughters were born to this union. After being together for over eleven years Paul married Deanna Peterson on December 8, 2011. The couple made their home in Montrose, SD. Paul had several occupations including mechanic and house inspector, but primarily worked as an soil analyst for several engineering firms. Paul grew up in the Catholic faith. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and four wheeling. He also enjoyed construction and home remodeling. Paul had a passion for fixing and restoring cars. He enjoyed grilling on the back yard bar-b-que for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Deanna, Montrose; daughters: Tawnya (Phil) Soden, Leggit, CA, Krista (Ken) Parker, Anaheim Hills, CA, Megan (Jason) Scheideler, Sioux Falls, SD, Kara (Leland) Langstraat, Sioux Falls, SD and Lauren (Victor) McKittrick, Canova, SD; eight grandchildren: Mark, Ty, Garrett, Amanda, Andrew, Ashlyn, Morgan and Kaylee; siblings: Larry (Cathie) Ollerich, Sioux Falls, SD, Debbie Ollerich, Las Vegas, NV, Teresa (Steve) Wiley, Reno, NV and Darcy Ollerich, Salem, SD as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Tea with burial to follow at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Lennox. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m, Tuesday with the family present at the Dindot-Klusmann Funeral Home. Lennox, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
