Pamela Miles

Pamela Leigh Miles, of Worthing, South Dakota passed away on June 24, 2026 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls at the age of 68. Pamela “Pam” Leigh Comford was born on September 19, 1957 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and later adopted by James Patrick and Helen Ruth (Cederstrom) Comford. She was raised on a farm near Canton, South Dakota where she graduated from Canton High School. She was confirmed on Sunday, May 16, 1971 in the Canton United Methodist Church. Pam was married to Dennis Miles on October 1, 1975 at the same United Methodist Church and they made their home together in Worthing, South Dakota. In her younger years, Pam enjoyed being on a bowling league alongside her mother Helen. She and Dennis, as well as sister-in-law Linda also volunteered their time as Boy Scout Leaders for Pack 309 in Worthing.In her later years, Pam enjoyed going to local casinos with Dennis, reading mystery books, and playing cards at family get-togethers. She also enjoyed frequent trips with Dennis to see their son Keith in Virginia during his life. Pam’s family will miss her smile and amazing sense of humor. She had the ability to make people laugh in any situation. She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother, a caring sister, a proud aunt, and the light of any gathering of friends and family. Pam and Dennis were inseparable even until the end, sharing 50 years of marriage, and leaving this world just 12 days apart. Their son Keith was their world. They planned to move to Virginia to be closer to him prior to his passing, and now they are reunited as a family together. In addition to Dennis and Keith, Pam was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Becky Hand, brother Gary Comford Rossow, and uncle John Cederstrom. She is survived by her brother Robert Comford; nieces Kiley Wilson and Rachel Evans; nephews Jeremy Comford, Patrick Stundhal, and Cody Wilson; great-niece Ivy Comford; as well as many in-laws and extended family and friends. A visitation to remember Pam and Dennis will be from 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Jarman Family Funeral Home in Lennox with burial to follow.
