Death Happens - A caring conversation to help us face the inevitable.

Join us for a panel discussion about what to expect when someone dies. This presentation is open to anyone hoping to learn more about this important topic. Local emergency and healthcare professionals, funeral directors, and service providers will share their experience and answer some of the big questions.

  • Who to call when someone dies unexpectedly?
  • What questions will 9-1-1 ask?
  • Will there be an autopsy?
  • What if someone has a DNR?
  • What kind of support does hospice provide?
  • What if someone dies out of state?
  • Should I be buried or cremated?
  • How do I buy a cemetery plot?
  • What does a funeral cost?
  • How can I prepare ahead of time?

These are just a few of the questions to be addressed but bring along any others you may have. Thank you to each of the professionals who will be joining us on the panel:

  • Harold Timmerman – Lincoln County Emergency Management Director and President of the Lennox Cemetery Board of Directors
  • Alan Perry – Lennox Area Ambulance Director
  • Mollie Sanchez – Avera Hospice Patient Care Coordinator & Advance Care
